AREA 51 UPDATE - 10/9/00:
DISS'ED AT DISNEY: Egads! Luigi didn't get the job! He was second only to one other candidate who had 5 years of managment experience on his resume. Disney did say that they would keep his resume on file for 6 months and he would be contacted when another position opens up. Because of the expansion project going on at the park, they will definately need more security. The only question is "when". Until then, Luigi is going to continue having lunch with current and ex-IM security personnel to chat about Hell, handbaskets and all that that entails.
STONE IN LOVE: It

Dennis Stone and Christine Martines are engaged!
He proposed to her on the plane trip back from Japan where they
went to see No Doubt in concert. Dennis won tickets on 95.9 FM
last month so the trip was "all expenses paid" along
with $1000 spending money. He tried to get the station staff to
participate in his proposal, but they wouldn't comply. Dennis
also tried getting the captain of the plane to announce it over
the speaker, but he only spoke Japanese. Finally, Dennis pulled
the classic stunt of "look over there" and while
Christine was searching out the window, he carefully placed the
ring in her pancakes. As she turned back around, he focused the
video camera and captured her reaction and kept it running while
he propose to her. Everything was preserved on tape - the shock,
the tears, the answer (it was "yes" by the way) and the
kiss. The Big Wet Sloppy Kiss that lasted until they landed in
Orange County and was shown at the family engagement party.
Congratulations, you two! Christine, be aware of that video
camera from now on! And let us know when you guys set the date!
AREA 51 LOTTERY UPDATE: Fahget aboutit...
STEAK DINNER RECAP: Allow us to tell you what you missed if you weren't at Area 51 last Friday. Vegetable medley, green beans with bacon and sauteed mushrooms. Rice pilaf and mashed potatoes with gravy. Steak and teriyaki chicken. Sure, these things seem pretty standard for an evening meal. Of course, food tastes pretty standard too if you don't have a Luigi in the kitchen. However, we did and the food was nothing less than phenominal. We had about 10 people seated around the big diningroom table and there wasn't much talking going on - if you know what I mean. Thank you, Luigi, for reminding us of just how skilled you are in the art of cooking. PERFECTO!
LORDY, LORDY! LOOK WHO'S...: Now that Lou-dog is 40, we have some house rules that need to be followed. Such as: Don't make any sudden movements. Lou may get surprised, fall and break his hip or something worse. Please help him in and out of the jacuzzi until we can get some handrails installed. If you see him trying to change a lightbulb in the ceiling fan, gently coax him down with a cigar or a glass of wine. And lastly, when Lou begins a heated debate about the death of the internet or homegrocers.com going out of business, just smile and say, "Yes, Lou, you are so right." We wouldn't want him to get overly excited and begin hyperventalating. We have pure oxygen on hand, but we'd rather not have to use it. We would appreciate your assistance. Thank you.
THREE-YEAR CELEBRATION: Just one more week until Laura's 3rd birthday party on Saturday, October 14th! We currently have 29 aliens attending. An Astrobounce has been ordered and will be delivered by noon that day. Guaranteed to tucker out even the most energized child. Sorry, no adults allowed in the Astrobounce (at least not while the kids are awake)!
SPOOKY SHOW 2000: This event will take place on Saturday, October 28th at 7:00pm. There will be plenty of goodies and gore for all! It's not too early to RSVP!
