AREA 51 UPDATE - 6/27/00:
We thought we would keep you updated on happenings. When we don't, people start making crazy assumptions. Well, nothing is going on. Okay, that's not true. There are a lot of newsworthy things, but before we start, let me just tell you that Mercury is in retrograde and there will be three lunar eclipses in July.
It all started with Tom's little mosh pit accident. Aside from people breaking up (three couples that we know of), our dear friend Linny Luth decided to head on up to heaven and wait for us there. Then there's Luigi, who was laid off from Ingram Micro after over 10 years of faithful service. Our little sis, Aimee, is moving to Ohio which leaves us sister-less and nanny-less.
Wanna hear the good side of all this? Tom's accident gave him a whole new outlook on life. The trials and tribulations of our friends relationships are happening for a reason and ultimately will work out for the best. Linny is no longer suffering, even though we're going to miss her terribly. A memorial service was held in her honor that everyone should try to live up to. Luigi will finally find a job that pays him what he is worth and gives him new challenges. And Aimee, well, even though she will be living in Ohio, her husband received a full scholarship and will receive his PHD in something like four years. Luckily, they have Starbuck's in Cleveland. To top off the goodness, Don and Anne Hoover's wedding was beautiful!
Hold on... it's not over yet! July's lunar eclipses will probably bring more upheaval to us all. Just remember, we are not given challenges we can't handle.
Fracture Boy Update: Tom is slowly taking less steroids for swelling. Once he is off that, he can stop taking the Pepcid for his stomach. He stopped taking Vicodin a while ago. Yes, he has some left over and no you can't have any. That leaves only one medication, the anti-epileptic. Tom is feelin' groovy and he's back to being the high-energy people-person we all know and love. We have an appointment with Dr. Gade on July 5th. We should know more about the anti-epileptic situation then.
Now, when are we all getting together? It seems that a good friend has to get married before we are gatherd in one place. A party is in order and guess what? July 4th lands on a Tuesday. SOOOOOO... let's hang on the weekend before Independence Day, starting on Friday. Sure, we'll be hangin' on Tuesday to watch the fireworks from our driveway too. Tom has Monday off. Alright, just bring your sleeping bags and we'll make an event out of it.
