AREA 51 UPDATE - 8/28/00:
OBNOXIOUS PARTY: Coming this Saturday, September 2nd at 8:00pm @ Area 51. Don't be late! It will be great! We'll have a fresh batch of Mai Tai's. Wear and/or bring something obnoxious and you'll fit right in! That is, unless you can make that annoying noise that Jim Carey makes in Dumb & Dumber. Then again, if you can do anything that Jim Carey does, you don't have to bring or wear anything. Except maybe some swim trunks for the jacuzzi if you care to partake.
Speaking of the jacuzzi... Tom, Lou-dog and I broke in the hot tub Saturday night. It's good to go. Especially since it has some Cabernet in the mix. Nothing like cooking with wine!
Tom's birthday has come and gone. Some of the friends accompanied the birthday boy to dinner at Louisa's and then to see The Art of War. Finally, a chance for Tom to take a nap. All that excitement is pretty exhausting for a guy his age and a darkened theatre is where he feels most comfortable.
The martial arts seminar on Saturday was awesome. Kevin-san really worked his ninja students. None of them walked away without bruises and a little kiss from the sun. Patty walked away with bruises and she didn't even train! Luigi made his infamous homemade taquitos and guacamole along with some rice, salad and miso soup. Perhaps next time we will have Sensei out for some night training. Ooh, and it looks like the Beautiful Swede is getting ready to test for his Black Belt! Woohoo!
Movie Review: Godzilla 2000 is pretty darn good according to Umba. She said it was true to form but the last line of the movie is a real groaner. Hmmm... sounds like a potential Quote of the Week.
