AREA 51 UPDATE - 9/18/00:
UPCOMING ACTIVITIES: We have two big events happening at Area 51 in October. The first one is occuring on Saturday, October 14th for Laura's 3rd birthday. If you haven't received an invitation and would like more details, please send us an email.
The second big event is The Spooky Show 2000. This will take place on Saturday, October 28th at 7:00pm. There will be plenty of goodies and gore for all!
Please RSVP via the Evite you have received. If you haven't received an invitation for either event and would like more details, please send us an email ASAP!
THE ROAD TO PETALUMA: Tom and I took a quick trip up to Petaluma, CA this past weekend. Sorry we missed you all, but it was a trip worth taking. We drove Mike Hefflin Sr. up in his van so he could do the honor of spreading Michael's ashes. He had not been able to make the memorial up north because he was in the hospital having surgery on his hip. This event was to bring closure to a very emotional time. We were happy to be able to facilitate that event even though we weren't there for the actual ceremony. It was more important to us to spend some time with Michael's friends and his father in the town that he called home.
THE Y2K BUG IS REAL: I dislike being all negative and everything but this year kinda sucks. So many sad things have happened this year for people we care about that I have actually begun to keep a list. Let me double check... yep, we're at number 12.
#11: Greg Villaescusa,
Lou-dog's brother, is undergoing heart surgery soon.
#12: Larry McCauley was in a nasty car accident
recently. No fatalities, thank God, but the car is totalled and
some of the powder from the airbag escaped and burned Larry's
arm. As a result of the impact, he is experiencing much
discomfort in his neck and back.
Please send them both your good thoughts. They could use them right about now. I'm ready for this year to be over. I tell ya, this coming New Year's Eve will mean more to me than any of the previous ones. It will be a night of saying farewell to Y2K and praying for a more positive year to come. We will be writing all of those items on the list and throwing them into the bonfire at midnight. I invite all of you to do the same with us.
AREA 51 LOTTERY POOL: Yes, we will be here this Friday! Bring your $$$ for the Area 51 Lottery Pool! We will purchase the tickets that night. Whatever winnings we get, we will split among the participants. The more tickets we buy, the better our chances of winning! Lou-dog will take the mathmatical approach and Patty will take the psychic approach. We'll see which one is more effective.
STOMP!: Have you seen the production STOMP! yet? If you haven't, you are truly missing out on an awesome specticle of percussion. Patty is going to see Ragtime this weekend. We'll let you know how that goes.
