AREA 51 UPDATE - 9/25/00:
NEW NIDAN: The Beautiful Swede (a.k.a. Jim Swendson) has just received his Nidan! No, it's not a car, it's his 2nd degree black belt! For those of you who are non-ninja, this means that Swede can now kick some serious hiney vs. running the other way. He avoided all of the sword swings delivered with love by Todd West. Congratulations, Swede! (man... I hope I got all this info right or else he will kick MY hiney!)
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: After a heart-to-heart talk with her hubby, Anne Hoover decided to turn in her resignation at Mission Hospital. She had a difficult time getting her well-deserved vacation time approved and with working nights and weekends, she and Don never saw each other. Don told Anne to take the rest of the year off. Uh... nice birthday present, Don. We're not sure how you're going to top that one next year.
HOOCHIE HOTEL: Lisa (Hoochie) Jackson just started her new position as a marketing programs manager at Hotel Information Systems (a division of MAI Systems). She says it is so refreshing working with normal people again. Lisa is working mainly on programs for sales and she gets a new toy: a laptop. Oh yeah, she's real excited. You couldn't wipe that smile off her face with sand paper. Congrats, Lisa!
AREA 51 LOTTERY UPDATE: Well, we scraped up about $40 to put towards lottery tickets this week. Since we bought over 10, we got an extra one. I believe that was the one that turned out to be the winner: $1.00! For the first try, I'm surprised we got any kind of return. Let's try again next Friday!

UPCOMING ACTIVITIES: We have two big events happening at Area 51 in October. The first one is occuring on Saturday, October 14th for Laura's 3rd birthday.
The second big event is The Spooky Show 2000. This will take place on Saturday, October 28th at 7:00pm. There will be plenty of goodies and gore for all!
