FRIDAY FAMILY NIGHT - 4/23/00:
Whew! We made it through Easter! As a testimate to the wackiness that IS Area 51, a few of us adults were found huddling in the living room watching Veggie Tales on Sunday afternoon, giggling out loud, during the Lakers half-time. Some of us were even singing along with the video tape: "Where is my hairbrush", and my personal favorite, "I love my lips". For the rest of the gang, it was beligerent bocce ball and a spirited game of dominos.
The Rights of Spring ceremony went according to plan, although Pique got promptly uncoordinated and the majority of the Gin and tonic went down her sweater (hello ice cubes!). We should have discriminating photos for your viewing pleasure pretty soon here.
Thank you to all who could join us, and of course, to Luigi who served up a spectacular spread. We're thinkin' perhaps we'll start cooking breakfast for dinner on Friday nights. Hey, like you would turn down a Luigi meal, regardless of what it is? DOUBT IT! Also, thanks to Mischa and Nancy who made a grand appearance.
Also, we got a card from the Swede! He's having a great time swimming with the sea turtles and hiking awesome trails. Swede is heading over to Molokai and will be taking full advantage of that island, we can assure you. It's enough to make you gag with jealousy, really.
And may you be left with a little tempting thought. Coleman teased me with the idea of another Cajun Night at Area 51!
Michael: "Guess whaaaat? I went down to San Diego and you know what that means... I bought the Cajun spices from my favorite store...!"
Patty: "What are you doing next Friday???"
Well... because he's doing something silly like celebrating his birthday, we'll have to wait until May. And we'll make it on a Saturday.
