AREA 51 UPDATE - 12/3/00:

Whoo! What do you know? We have actual content for this weeks update! I actually have more to tell you, but Shaila is making me wait. This is very difficult to do because it's so cool, but I have to respect her wishes. So, stay tuned! Hey, like the new links above? Enjoy! We're in the final stretch of Y2K, a month called "December", a time where Christmas lights are hung with care. It is a very beautiful time of year. While you're out frantically shopping for that hard-to-buy-for Uncle or that someone who has everything, make sure you stop (or at least slow down to the speed limit) to enjoy the scenery. Oh, and don't forget to hang that mistletoe and pucker up for those friendly kisses. Get your chapstick ready. Happy Freakin' Holidays!

King On A String Update: Many of you were notified last week that the soon-to-be-famous Elvis marionette band known as "King on a String" was to perform for the Mark & Brian Show on KLOS last Friday for Mark's birthday. Unfortuately, Mark fell sick and KLOS played previously recorded segments that day instead. From what we hear, Mark's Birthday Show will be rescheduled for a later date. We will keep you posted once we hear word from the bands drummer, Philbert (Phil Luth)!

Career Update: For those of you who know Jim Kirner, we have great news for you. Jim has accepted a sales position at Alias Wavefront in Santa Monica starting Tuesday, December 5th. Jim will be working his Hollywood territory, spreading joy to all of the movie studios. You think I'm kidding? Alias Wavefront manufactures Maya software that created animation for movies such as Star Wars and well-known video games as well. Maya is the world's most powerful 3D animation and visual effects software. I'd say Jim has found the perfect job for himself. He'll be relocating to Santa Monica soon, but we'll still see him occasionally. He promised. Right Jim?

A Chance At A Million: Not many people can say that they have qualified to be on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire". However, as of last week, Thedmo (Thomas Morrissey) has joined the elite group of people that have been chosen for a chance to win a million dollars on a national TV show. We're not quite sure when he will be set into action yet, but we'll let you know as soon as Thedmo does. Tom would be happy to be your "Call A Friend" life line (for a small fee). GOOD LUCK!!!

Mongo Like: After spending some time as a guest of Area 51, Mongo (Dave Snyder) found himself a very interesting situation. One of his clients owned an apartment in Huntington Beach and needed to evict the tenant. Mongo agreed to help him obtain an eviction if he could live in the apartment after the deed was done. Long story short, Mongo has moved in and all is well. Sometimes being a lawyer isn't all that bad, eh? Happy Birthday, Mongo, and good luck in your new bachelor pad! Just remember, we still have you on retainer. Remember that buck we gave you?
